Promoting sustainable development in Hertfordshire

Building Futures new website launched in spring 2009

GHP is working with Hertfordshire County Council and a steering group of Planning Officers across the county to develop and promote the county-wide sustainability guide: Building Futures.

The project involves remodelling the Building Futures website, developing a sustainability awards scheme for Hertfordshire and producing a promotional event to raise awareness of the Building Futures resource.

The aim is to transform Building Futures into a dynamic, informative and geographically specific sustainability and design toolkit that will be relevant and informative to Planners, Developers and Planning Committee Members and the general public of Hertfordshire.

GHP brings to Building Futures innovation, inspiration and creativity to encourage new approaches to sustainable development. This partnership between Building Futures and GHP is working towards building a sustainable approach within Hertfordshire that can inform future growth and redevelopment and bring recognition to the county.
