A Hertfordshire-wide team worked together to redefine ‘park’ or ‘open space' provision as a cohesive design that integrates the needs of multi-users.
This project brought together a cross-county team of individuals across the departments of open space, leisure, environment, sport and arts to work with an artist and landscape architect and other specialist organisations in Hertfordshire.

The team worked alongside artist Lorna Green and landscape architect Oliver Rock to develop a cohesive and multi-use concept of a park. Consultation was also carried out with young people through workshops and through a case study project with the University of Hertfordshire.
The resulting work from this project is an guidance document that promotes a new way of working, case studies relevant to Hertfordshire, and acts as a tool for managers, senior management teams and outside developers/section 106 negotiations.
