On 30 May 2008, GHP ran a seminar in partnership with University of Hertfordshire on Interdisciplinary Collaborative Practice within the Natural and Built Environment for BA and MA students. The event was chaired by Marty St James, Fine Art Professor at the University and included presentations by artists Simon Lee Dicker, Michael Pinsky and Karen Lois Whiteread on their experience of working in collaborative projects in the public realm. The event was well attended and resulted in a lively discussion and much interest in GHP’s work amongst the students. There may be opportunities for students to learn from GHP practices in the Autumn Term., by using GHP projects as case studies and through shadowing a GHP live project, gaining experience of working with a team of cross-disciplinary professionals and developing key skills necessary to be a successful artist in the public realm.
